Head out to Rottnest Island
Take the ferry to Rottnest island and enjoy a range of outdoor activities including hiking, bike riding, surfing, fishing and snorkelling. The marine life is stunning at the Island with opportunities to explore tropical fish, coral, and shipwrecks. With so much to see and do you will need to spend at least a whole day on the island.
Stand up paddle boarding
Hire paddle boards and enjoy the sun and water whilst getting in a little workout. Paddle boarding will test your fitness and strengthen your balance while you have lots of fun. It’s a perfect activity for on the river or the ocean, this watersport is available in multiple locations.

Cocktails on the beach
Located in Fremantle, Bathers Beach House is Australia’s first-ever liquored licensed beachfront bar. You can relax on the lounge chairs with a cocktail in hand and sand in your feet. Food and cocktails are all delivered directly to your sun lounge so you will definitely feel like you’re living the good life.
See a movie at the outdoor cinemas
Warm summer nights are perfect for a date under the stars watching a movie with a packed picnic. Book tickets for one of Perth’s many outdoor cinemas for the latest movie releases and old goldies. Each venue is unique with their own gourmet food and drink, live entertainment and ticket packages.

Get out the house and enjoy the outdoors by taking a bushwalk to some of Western Australia’s amazing waterfalls. Our city is home to quite a few including, Lesmurdie falls, Sixty Foot Falls, National Park Falls and Serpentine Falls.
Invest in a Wahu beach cricket set this summer and spend time bonding with family and friends at one of our amazing beaches. Why not go all out and set up for the morning or arvo and have a BBQ on the beach as well?
Get tickets to a gig
Summer is the best time to go to a festival or gig with friends. The weather is warm, the vibe is good and with plenty of events on this season around our city you are bound to find some cool tunes and great entertainment.
