Narrow Lot design hits the mark for clients

We want to share this client testimonial with you because for us it confirms everything we strive to achieve in our small and narrow lot designs:

My husband and I purchased a long, narrow block (9.9mtrs at the front) as we liked the idea of building something a little different.  Originally we went to an architect to have something designed for us but the cost had us worried that we would be over capitalizing for the area we wanted to build in.  As we started to look for another option, we became increasing disappointed with what was on offer.  Almost every house we looked at that was suitable for our block was basically nothing more than one long hallway with the rooms off to one side.

Fortunately, we came across the Residential Attitudes website where we found the ‘Mayfair Design’.  We couldn’t believe our luck as it was virtually the brief we had been giving to our architect and he was telling us it wouldn’t work.  We love that the Mayfair feels wide and spacious.   As soon as you walk through the front door, you get a sense of openness.  We love all the water features and glass allowing plenty of light into the house.  Our favourite feature is having the main bedroom at the back of the house on the ground floor.  Walking down the hallway, looking out to the water feature and then into your own private retreat makes you feel like you are checking into a beautiful suite at a luxury hotel.  Having the alfresco area at the centre of the house is also ideal for us as that is where we will be spending most of our time. We love the design of the house and it is by far the best design we have seen for a long narrow block.

Kind Regards,

Kathy Braden
